New Dawn Technologies now offers JustWare Application Programming Interface (API) capabilities allowing customers to evolve their JustWare implementation, create robust integration to third-party applications, and develop their own GJXDM- or NIEM-based interfaces. While still utilizing existing JustWare security and business rules, the JustWare API is designed to allow customers with development resources direct, secure and supported access to their JustWare database for custom-developed and third-party software integration projects. The JustWare API offers maximum customizability while providing customers with developer level support and continued, documented, and backward compatible API enhancements.

Take advantage of all of your existing JustWare business rules, workflow rule, and security model with JustWare's API.

The JustWare client application communicates with the JustWare web tier using a set of API methods exposed through the JustWare client API web service. These methods provide all the special functions required for the JustWare client to query and update data based on JustWare XML screen definitions, as well as client-specific user settings and caching mechanisms. These methods have been traditionally JustWare XML schema-centric and pertain specifically to the JustWare client and its administration and therefore have not been suited for consumption by outside developers who wanted to write their own client code or communicate with the JustWare web tier.

Now with the release of the JustWare API public web service, a more intuitive model for communicating with the JustWare system is made available to customer developers with no prior understanding of the JustWare application model and its many pieces. The public JustWare API is object based instead of JustWare XML screen definition based. Learning to develop for the JustWare API requires merely becoming familiar with objects that represent entities in JustWare, such as Cases/Matters, Charges/Cites, Involved Parties, Events, and Documents.
