experience with data-sharing projects

Sharing data through XML standards is not a concept unique to New Dawn; it is currently being used across the country to allow criminal justice agencies to import, export and share information with the criminal justice agencies in your area. Our skilled staff sit on key industry standards definition committees. These definitions are implemented in New Dawn’s signature data-sharing model, JusticeBroker. Our compliance with these standards will ensure that your interfaces meet Global Justice XML and NIEM standards today and tomorrow.

Microsoft .NET developed & web services deployed

JusticeBroker utilizes the latest in development technology. The easy-to-navigate web interface gives your administrators flexible access to manage your exchanges from anywhere.

based on supported Department of Justice Standards

JusticeBroker utilizes the Global Justice XML Data Model (Global JXDM), defined by the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP). It is flexible and can accommodate any custom-defined XML schemas and business processess defined and utilized by New Dawn, your participating agencies' vendors or system developers.

Justice Information Exchange Model (JIEM) Certified

SEARCH and the Integrated Justice Information Systems Institute (IJIS) have developed a certification program for public and private-sector individuals who will work with the JIEM Modeling Tool©. New Dawn's Data Integration staff members are certified to assist you and your integrated justice staff with the data mapping of your criminal justice requirements.

designed for multi-jurisdictions

JusticeBroker is designed to accommodate multi-jurisdictional use and data sharing by the criminal justice agencies in your area. Use it to establish detailed data-sharing and access rules for your external and internal agencies and users.

process model design

Part of any successful integrated justice implementation is the standards and event-triggered definitions that meet your local requirements and goals.

If all participating agencies have not defined the data exchange triggers, a New Dawn expert can work with you to define the events, triggers and processes (human and system) that will link all of these systems together.

code table mapping & validation

JusticeBroker’s intuitive design allows you to easily map your code tables to the similar codes of the systems that are submitting and receiving data. For example, one system may use "BUR", another "125.34" and another "Burglary" to describe charging information. JusticeBroker translates these various data values. This translation allows your agencies to maintain the existing codes and values in their systems and still share and exchange data.

name & case entry review

After JusticeBroker submits name and case information to JustWare, administrators and users alike can perform a simple search to locate, edit and approve new data.
