JustWare | Prosecutor, including the web-generation of attorney calendars is utilized as part of a Story County justice and public safety automation initiative that included CAD, law enforcement, civil, jail administration, and prosecutor solutions.Challenge
The Story County Attorney’s Office utilized an obsolete database that was over ten years old. Story County required complete case management software that would interface with public safety software including CAD, crimes, civil, jail administration and prosecutor services. Attorneys also needed to view their court calendars at a moment's notice.
Solution
“It was urgent to find replacement software,” states Sandra Hunter, Story County’s Director of Information Technology. “After viewing a demo of JustWare with some of the County Attorney staff, we were all very impressed and decided we wanted to go ahead with the purchase of JustWare.”
Story County Attorney’s Office purchased and implemented JustWare, which enables prosecutors to manage their workflow, cases, document automation and reporting needs. JustWare also tracks all essential name and case information for every individual involved in a case, including victims, officers and attorneys.
Story County also utilizes JustWare's web-deployed calendar features to allow their attorneys to access their court calendars.
Result
Story County attorneys are able to access their calendars from any computer through a web brower. By simply clicking a button in JustWare, users are launched to a set of reports, including a list of active cases by attorney.

Ongoing Goals
JustWare is also used in conjunction with Microsoft Office products. Story County Attorney’s Office would like to interface with SunGuard HTE Public Safety Application in the next two years.
