JustWare | Prosecutor and JusticeBroker provide the City of Casa Grande Prosecutors with a robust case management system and an HTE-based arrest-filing interface, which reduces data-entry time for their support staff.Challenge
Although Casa Grande is a smaller office, one of the initial workflow requirements for their case management solution was to reduce the data-entry time for their support staff. They required an arrest-filing interface from their law enforcement IBM AS400 based records management application HTE.
Solution
New Dawn’s JustWare and JusticeBroker applications were chosen from among an industry of competitors. They were implemented on five workstations.
Without any assistance from HTE’s development staff, and working in conjunction with the City of Casa Grande technical staff and an AS400 database consultant, New Dawn’s Custom Development staff was able to successfully deliver an arrest-filing interface to JusticeBroker. This allowed the staff to electronically import case, charging, defendant and involved person information rather than manually typing the information into JustWare.
Result
Casa Grande Prosecutor’s Office system’s arrest-filing interface delivers arrest filings every night. The redundant data-entry time for their support staff has decreased significantly, allowing the staff to enter more data regularly.
